Dear friends of mine suffered the loss of their child at 6 months gestation. They knew weeks earlier that the survival odds for Agnes Cecelia were slim to none. At that time, they trustingly place their daughter in God's hands and began what my friend calls the hospice of the womb. I was blessed to be able to witness the love and faith with which this family prayed and accepted the Will of God in their lives.

One of the fruits to come from my friends' redemptive suffering is the book authored by the mother and entitled Stretched in Love: Hospice of the Womb. This book is a comfort and consolation to all who have suffered a miscarriage or still-birth. In fact, their story is a comfort to all Catholic Christians who strive to follow the Will of God or who are suffering in any way.
