Introducing myself - Maria Marz

My name is Maria, and I have been postponing my introduction for quite a while, because I just needed to find my identity. And well, I found out that I have too many identities to pick only one!

I have been described as a colorful, sweet, soft-spoken person. I am a wife, mom, craftista, writer, photographer & lover of comedy. I am also a pescatarian, Navy veteran, fibromite (fibromyalgia sufferer), migraine sufferer, and a former web designer. I also try to raise awareness about mental and invisible illnesses.

My store is
I have my personal blog at, and I have a side project at

I am based in Oak Lawn, a suburb of Chicago. As a photographer, you can see some of my work at

My favorite saints - those who I ask the most for intercession are (in no particular order) St. Joseph, St. Mary, St. Jude, and St. Therese de Lisieux. I am also devout to St. Dymphna and St. Teresa of Avila.

On my shop you can usually find an eclectic collection of accessories, a variety of Rosaries, and crafting supplies.

  1. Thank you for letting us get to know you a bit better, Maria! I'm glad there's another veggie in the group, too! I still cook (and am personally not opposed to) meat that was humanely treated and sustainably/naturally raised. But I still think it tastes gross and don't eat it myself! :)

Glad to have you in the Guild, Maria! God Bless! :)
